Local Learning and Employment Networks are a vital part of the Government’s strategy to ensure that all young people are engaged in education, employment or training. It brings together the key stakeholders in the local area to create  collaborative partnerships that facilitate the smooth transition of young people from school to further education and training. In particular the Banyule Nillumbik LLEN’s focus has been to develop programs that support those young people who are at risk of being disengaged.

The Board is the governing body of the LLEN and sets the framework by which it operates. Its members come from a diverse group of local organisations and bring their collective experience to develop innovative solutions that address the needs of the young people in the area. It aims to broker partnerships that will produce sustainable initiatives for their benefit.

The strength of the Board is the commitment of its members to improve outcomes for all young people, but in particular those that are in most need.
